Founded in 1835, Søholm was among the oldest ceramic manufacturers on Bornholm—an island shaped by generations of pottery and clay production.
Backhausen joined the pottery in 1966, developing vases, lamps, bowls, and wall reliefs with tactile surfaces and graphic decoration.
