Mestiz, Chirimoyo Chairs
Founded by architect Daniel Valero and based in Mexicoʼs historic San Miguel de Allende, Mestiz is a leading creative studio producing a collection of handcrafted artisanal designs.
Their chirimoyo chair reflects the aired desert of the region. Built and woven with hand-dyed golden wool, braided palm leaf, and rustic carved ball feet, which mimic the pieceʼs namesake - the Incan cherimoya fruit. Mixing industrial and vibrant craft with a nod to Mexican flora and fauna this chair epitomizes the vibrancy of Central American organic modernism.
Mestizʼs 2023 display for Hermesʼs wild awakening campaign mints their work as a trailblazing example of international collectible design.
