Herda Ceramic Eco Lamp

This oversized artisan lamp designed by the German design firm Herda Hustadt Leuchten is a peak example of the 1960s organic aesthetic with a futurist shape. The hand-sculpted ceramic and glazed lamp is oblong and gestural, creating the impression of natural earthen surfaces. The glossed façade mimics a natural rock face or volcanic stone with an external gloss that reflects and emits internal light. The eco-futurist movement lasted well into the late 70s with beautiful examples of decorative ceramic lamps across Europe and the Americas.
