Cohen Studio Vase

Studio vase by artist Herbert Cohen, whose work with stoneware is characterized by seamlessly blending simple form with abstract patterns carved into a clay surface, glazed in various colors.
While earning a BFA and MFA from Alfred University, he took workshops from master ceramicists and educators Marguerite Wildenhain and Bernard Leach. Both artists heavily influenced Cohen's pure to mid-century modern style.
