Pair of ABCD sofas by Pierre Paulin — 1960s
Founded in 1890 in Maastricht by Jules Wagemans, Artifort became renowned for its innovative approach to modern seating and collaborations with leading international designers.
Among the most influential was Pierre Paulin, whose sculptural, forward-thinking work helped define the brand’s identity in the 1960s. His 1968 ABCD sofa, with landscape-like silhouette, merged sculptural experimentation with comfort — an approach that perfectly captured the optimism and fluid forms of the Space Age design movement.
