Art Deco Tulip Chairs in Fortuny, Piumette
Barrel-back chairs with tulip-inspired forms and lacquered burl wood accents, circa Italy 1980’s. Upholstered in exquisite Fortuny fabric.
The Piumette in Charcoal & Gold, one of Fortuny’s earliest patterns, features a feathered, Persian-inspired motif symbolizing freedom and transcendence.
Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo founded the iconic Fortuny Atelier in 1906 on the grounds of an ancient convent in Venice.
Known as the "Magician of Venice," he developed proprietary dyes, pigments, and printing techniques, a legacy that has been passed down through generations. More than a century later, Fortuny fabrics are still handcrafted in the original Venetian factory, where the methods remain a closely guarded secret.
