1970's Travertine Dining Table
In the style of Italian architect and designer Angelo Mangiarotti. In 1971, Mangiarotti introduced his Eros collection of tables, crafted from solid marble and travertine.
Mangiarotti’s tables are celebrated for their “gravity joints”, where the tabletop’s weight secures the base without visible connections. His signature conical pedestal, inspired by his architectural projects, created an interlocking system that merged art, architecture, and design into cohesive and enduring works of functional sculpture.
