Yves Boucard, Cheval Marin coffee table
YVES BOUCHARD is a Swiss maker and furniture designer, Born in 1953 in Morges, Ch. Bouchard studied woodworking and cabinet-making at the school of craft in Lausanne. From 1975 to 1983, he resided in Vancouver, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, and Paris, where he worked and participated in courses and local art communities. His featured 'Cheval Marin' coffee table is made of Birch wood, and the top is veneered in Macassar ebony. The rest of the piece is covered with a mineral paste to add a blue stone hue. Underneath the top is the artist's signature done in (Estampie)-fire branding.
